Real-Time Features Not Available For My Real-Time Target in LabVIEW Project

Issue Details

  • My Real-Time (RT) device has the warning "features not available" next to it in my LabVIEW Project Explorer.
  • I cannot see Connect and Disconnect options when right-clicking in the RT target.

Solution

This message appears next to the RT device if the software required to program your RT target is not installed and activated on your computer. Follow these steps to troubleshoot this message:
Note: Some features of the LabVIEW Real-Time Module doesn't work in 'Evaluation' period. The module has to be activated.
  • Verify that all installed software is compatible with the device and the version of LabVIEW being used. LabVIEW Real-Time Module and LabVIEW FPGA Module should be the same year as the version of LabVIEW you're using. 
  • If the LabVIEW Real-Time Module is currently installed and activated, please try reparing the module with NI Package Manager .
    • If the issue persists, consider a full reinstallation of the NI software.
