Issue Details

The NI 92xxE, NI 94xxE, NI 95xxE, and NI 98xxE OEM single-board (sbRIO) modules appear as an unsupported module in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) with my CompactDAQ (cDAQ) chassis or controller, as in the image below. Are these modules compatible with cDAQ? Why is this occurring?

Solution

The Single-Board RIO I/O (sbRIO) Modules are intended to only be used with sbRIO targets. Because they are incompatible, they will appear as an unsupported module in a cDAQ chassis and NI-DAQmx. It is electrically unsafe to have a sbRIO Module in a cDAQ or CompactRIO (cRIO) chassis.
