Error -301042 when using ECU Measurement and Control Toolkit

Updated Oct 20, 2017

Issue Details

Using MC ECU Create.vi from the ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit with the XCP protocol for connectin XNET hardware results in Error -301042 ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit:  (Hex 0xFFFB680E) The function called is not defined for the protocol currently in use. E.g. you called an XCP specific function for CCP. The function works fine when connecting to CAN hardware using CCP.

Solution

The function MC ECU Create.vi does not have XCP implemented in code so when the protocol and interface specifies XCP it returns the Error -301042.

To use XCP, the current recommendation is to use an A2L database file for XCP Communication. The ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit does not include functionality for using LabVIEW in-memory databases using MC Database Create.vi and MC ECU Create.vi functions.
