Issue Details

I receive the following error when trying to open or close a relay. What can I do to resolve it?
Error -1074118618 occurred at niSwitch Relay Control.vi
 

Solution

When using the "niSwitch Relay Control.vi" you must specify relay names rather than channel names. For example you might use "k0" instead of "ch0"

Check the NI Switches Help to find topology diagrams and individual relay names for your model of switch.

Additional Information

Using "niSwitch Connect Channels (Single).vi" can be a good alternative to individual relay if you would like the NI-SWITCH driver to automatically open or close the correct relays to satisfy your desired switch route.
