Solution
This error message commonly occurs in one of three situations:
- The SCXI portion of the chassis is not powered on
- The chassis is configured for an improper voltage range
- The driver or some other component are not properly installed or are corrupted.
If the combo chassis you are working with has separate power for the PXI and SCXI portions of the chassis, be sure the SCXI portion is powered on. Consult your chassis' User Manual to find the location of the SCXI power switch.
If the SCXI portion is powered on, then make sure the chassis is configured for the proper voltage range. The PXI-1010, 1011 and 1050 combo chassis have a rotary switch on the rear of the SCXI portion where an AC power cord is connected. You must pry off the cover of the rotary switch to access the drum. On the drum are 4 voltages: 100VAC, 120VAC, 220VAC and 240VAC.
Set the drum in place so that the voltage for your power supply can be read horizontally. Snap the cover back into place. At this point you can reconnect power and the SCXI modules should be detectable in MAX. If you continue to experience
Error -200073 after verifying that this setting is correct, please contact NI support for further assistance.
For the last case, try to repair the driver installation or reformat the controller to start the installation from the scratch.
