Issue Details

I am trying to connect to a Zebra FX7500 RFID reader.

I have downloaded Zebra's SDK API for the reader. In LabVIEW, I created a constructor node referencing the aforementioned API to setup the RFID Reader properties. The reader will not connect.

Solution

As a disclaimer, the device will have its own API. The LabVIEW .NET constructor node just allows you to access this API and use it in LabVIEW. With that said, here are some steps you can take:
  • Verify that the device is connected using the 3rd party company's own software
  • Consult the product's software manual or API
  • Examine example .NET code that you can map directly into LabVIEW
  • Use a 'connect' function if there is one to establish the connection
