NI-MAX Installed from LabVIEW Installer Can't Add DAQ Devices

Issue Details

I installed NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) by including it as an additional installer in a LabVIEW installer. It seems to have installed properly, but when I right click Devices and Interfaces to add a new device, nothing happens.

Solution

The NI MAX installation does not include a list of devices that can be created. This information is included within individual device drivers. In order to gain the ability to add DAQ devices, you must also include the NI-DAQmx Runtime with Configuration Support installer.
