Part of my Real-Time Code Doesn't Run when Used as an Executable

Issue Details

I have a Real-Time application that runs well when I use from LabVIEW, but part of it doesn't work when I use it as an RT executable. When I use debugging tools to try and understand what is happening the application runs as expected, why does this happen.

Solution

If you are referrencing any front panel elements or using property nodes of those elements in the block diagram of your application they will not be usable if the application is running as an RT executable since there's no actual front panel in RT executables to reference.

In order to prevent this from happening it would be necessary to change or remove any reference to front panel elements in the block diagram before deploying the application.

Additional Information

If you are using an RT executable with an embedded UI, or you use remote front panel with the application, the front panel and its elements would be included with the application, so it will be possible to references the elements of those front panels in the block diagram.
