Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) Configuration Files Location

Issue Details

My Windows OS can only be booted up in safe mode and I have to wipe the computer but need the configuration files from NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (NI MAX). All of my tasks and scaled values are saved in the software but I cannot access NI-MAX to export the files to a .nce file. Where are the NI-MAX configuration files stored locally on the drive?

Solution

National Instruments recommends exporting virtual channel/task information (i.e. the NI MAX Configuration Files) using the Export Wizard . If you were unable to do so, follow Recovering the NI-MAX Configuration Without Using the Export Options  to locate and recover your configurations.
