Does the PXIe-6375 Autoscale Analog Input Voltage Ranges?

Issue Details

I am reading a signal in on the analog voltage lines of the PXIe-6375 and my input voltage range is large, where sometimes I'm measuring voltages at 5mV and sometimes I'm measuring voltages at 5V, but I won't know the magnitude of the voltage being read until run-time. Is there any way for the 6375 to autoscale it's voltage input range during run-time so that the resolution for each sample is better?

Solution

Input voltage ranges for X-Series cards like the 6375 need to be set prior to run-time and cannot be adjusted programmatically. If you set a smaller voltage range, you will have better resolution but may have your voltage go out of range. If you have a larger voltage range, you may be able to acquire your full signal, but will sacrifice resolution for smaller sample values.
