Issue Details

I am seeing inaccurate readings from my NI 6120 with the DAQmx driver. By inaccurate, that does not mean unexpected, but outside the accuracy specification listed in the NI 6120 Specifications.

Solution

  1. Launch Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX).
  2. Find the DAQ device NI 6120 and run a Self-Calibrate on the device. If the device passes check the accuracy of your readings again.
  3. If they are still inaccurate, check for sources of noise and loose cabling.
Note: NI recommends shielded cables and accessories for a noisy enviorment. See the 62xx DAQ Multifunction I/O Cable and Accessory Compatibility chart for more information.
