Issue Details

I am trying to run a motor control program involving an Ethernet stepper motor drive and a stepper motor on my sbRIO-9627. The FPGA program returns an error that it is incompatible with an 'NIMC' function. How do I control the motor on my sbRIO?

Solution

NIMC functions are from our legacy NI-Motion library. To perform motion control using the Ethernet stepper drive on the sbRIO, you must download and use SoftMotion on your host machine as well as your RIO.
