Issue Details

I have an FPGA project and am interfacing with my FPGA controls and indicators on my Host by using the Read/Write Controls. I access one control in one of the Read/Write Controls and a different control in another Read/Write Control. But one of the Read/Write Controls is much longer than the other one because it includes my bitfile name, why is this the case?

Solution

There are two reasons your Read/Write Control could be larger than you want.
  1. The size of your Read/Write Controls may be determined by the length of the control name that you are referencing. A longer control name will cause the Read/Write Control to be longer, so in order to shrink the size of it you will need to reduce the length of the control name.
  2. The size of your Read/Write Control may be determined by wheter or not the name is visible. You can change this setting by Right Clicking the control and going to Visible Items>Bitfile Path
