Issue Details

I am trying to open a VI but LabVIEW crashes and does not open it. It was working fine previously, and no changes were made to the computer or the VI. After shutting down the computer and turning it on again, all of a sudden it just doesn't work. I receive the following dialog when trying to open the VI:

LabVIEW encountered a problem and needs to close.
Exception: Integer divide by zero (0xC0000094) at EIP=0x614616D4

Solution

In order to solve this issue, you will need to copy the whole project or VI into another directory in the computer and then open it from that new location. You can even save it again back to the original file location and it should work there, too.

Additional Information

This issue may be caused by a corruption of the files, or a problem with the hard drive or the network drive where the VI was saved. In order to prevent this kind of trouble, it is always recommended to keep back-ups of your work in different storage locations.
