Issue Details

I am a client that use a network license through VLM.
When I create a DAQmx task in MAX, I see in License Manager that a Developing Network License is in used,
Once I close MAX, the License is not in used anymore

Solution

You have to disconnect the client computer from the license server when you are configuring DAQ tasks in MAX.

Additional Information

Following, a licensing policy is described:
  1. Creating a task in NI-MAX uses the DAQ Assistant
  2. The DAQ Assistant is licensed through your development environment (LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, etc)
  • If the DAQ Assistant has a license available to use, it will use that license rather than run unlicensed
  • If there is no license available to the DAQ Assistant, it will give a warning but still run
