Access Denied by Wrong Language Setting in Real-Time

Issue Details

I installed LabVIEW Real-Time Module Japanese version and tried to connect to Real-Time target. But, the following error occurs. 
Access Denied: The language set in the target is incompatible with the LabVIEW language of the host. On the Real-Time target, 
verify that the target and host languages match and that MAX is used to construct the target locale.

​What is the cause of this error? How can I fix it?

Solution

If you install LabVIEW Real-Time Module Japanese or Simplified Chinese version, you need to change the locale setting in NI Measurement and Automation Explorer(MAX).

After you install the Real-Time Module on your development computer, you can complete the following steps to install and use Japanese and Simplified Chinese languages on an RT target:
  1. Confirm the language support package is installed. Run the installer of LabVIEW Real-Time Module and check the installation list.
  2. Use the LabVIEW Real-Time Software Wizard in NI MAX to install the Language Support for Japanese or Language Support for Simplified Chinese software component on the RT target.
  1. Open the System Settings tab and select the language you want as the Locale.
 

Additional Information

You cannot use Japanese or Simplified Chinese characters in directory names or filenames on the RT target.
