I am using NI software (like FlexLogger, NI-DAQmx API in LabVIEW, etc.) to log data in a TDMS file format. How do I view the TDMS files?

Solution

There are a few options for viewing TDMS files using NI software.

• TDMS File Viewer VI: This function is installed with the LabVIEW and allows you to view TDMS data in the TMDS File Viewer Dialog Box . 
  • Refer to the TDMS Write Triggered Data VI example to see how the TDMS File Viewer works, available the LabVIEW Example Finder: labview\examples\File IO\TDMS\Standard Read and Write
• TDM Excel Add-In for Microsoft Excel: This software add-in allows importing TDM and TDMS data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, much like you would import CSV or XLSX data.
• NI FlexLogger TDMS Viewer: This software is included with the FlexLogger license and installs with NI FlexLogger. 
• DIAdem: DIAdem is specifically designed around TDMS files and allows you to view and visualize TDMS data.
