Issue Details

• Do I need to purchase the license for NI Vision Acquisition Software? What all will be included in it?
• Do I need to purchase a license for the deployment computer when using NI Vision Acquisition Software?

Solution

The NI Vision Acquisition Software (VAS) contains:
  • NI-IMAQ;
  • NI-IMAQdx;
  • NI-IMAQ I/O image acquisition drivers.

A license needs to be purchased to activate only the NI-IMAQdx driver. No activation is required for NI-IMAQ and NI-IMAQ I/O. You must purchase a separate VAS license for both your development and deployment computer as there is no VAS Run-Time driver or license.
