Issue Details

I am using my NI 9234 with a CRIO in scan mode and would like to understand if I can achieve a sampling rate of 51.2 KS/s.

Solution

NI SCAN Engine feature allows users to directly communicate with C series modules without the need of FPGA programming. When you are operating a CRIO in SCAN mode, a pre-built FPGA code is deployed onto the CRIO which allows the user to bypass FPGA programming. The data points which are sampled by a c series modules are transferred to a lookup table on the controller at a max. rate of 1000 Hz under ideal conditions. Effectively, you can attain sampling rates of a maximum of 1Khz under ideal conditions. We strongly recommend using sampling rates around 500 Hz in scan mode.
