Error 1074003951 When Performing Calibration Executive Procedure

Issue Details

As soon as I start a Cal Exec procedure, I'm getting Error -1074003951 occurred at Initialize.vi, or a similar error regarding other instrument Initialization functions (e.g. IVI Initialize). I've successfully run calibrations with this system before.
 

Solution

This error can occur if the GPIB address for your calibration instrument has changed or is incorrect. Additionally, if you can't communicate with the device at all, you can get this error. Ensure that you are able to interface all of your system's calibration instruments. Possible troubleshooting steps include:
 
  • Check the address for your GPIB devices in Calibration Executive, make sure the address is accurate
  • In MAX Test Panels, query any GPIB calibration instruments with *IDN? and ensure that a correct response is received for each address in use
  • Ensure any instrument control interfaces with have drivers and are recognized in Windows Device Manager
