Errors -1073807360 or -88705 with Timing Modules on Windows 10

Issue Details

I have an NI PXI-6682(H), NI PXI-6683(H), or NI PCI-1588 that I am using on a Windows 10 system, and I am running into errors. For example:
  • When I attempt to open an NI MAX Test Panel, I receive Error -1073807360 on the 1588 tab.
  • If I have more than one timing card in my system, I am unable to open the Test Panel. When I run a self-test, it fails with the error: The self test failed. Status Code: -88705.
 

Solution

NI-Sync 15.0 and earlier is incompatible with Windows 10. To resolve this issue, either upgrade to NI-Sync 15.0.1 or install the NI-Sync Runtime 15.0.1 Patch for 15.0.0. You can download these updates either through Update Service or by visiting the Drivers and Updates page linked below. See the product readmes for more information on which download best suits your needs.

To check if your system has already been upgraded or patched, open NI MAX and expand the Software tab under your system. If you see NI-Sync Runtime 15.0.1 or later listed, your system is already compatible with Windows 10.
