Issue Details

I am trying to install the NI-488.2 driver and I get the following error:
  
​Unsupported Version of NI-488.2 for Windows was Detected. You must cancel this installation and uninstall all unsupported National Instruments software before continuing.
​

What can I do to fix this and get my driver installed?

Solution

  1. Use the guide for Uninstalling or Repairing National Instruments Software or Drivers in Windows  and remove all versions of NI-488.2.
  2. Restart your computer. 
  3. Identify the correct NI-488.2 driver version to install for your OS. For more detailed compatibility information, consult the specific version of the NI-488.2 readme and confirm your OS version and bitness are supported. 
  4. Download the correct NI-488.2 driver version and install it.
